Itchy Skin

Relief from dry itchy skin using hypnosis

Do you have skin conditions that make you want to scratch or the most irritable itch that can never be satisfied. Itching can be caused by many conditions. Itch is an irritation in the skin that produces an urge to scratch. Many causes of itching is probably psychological, that is, due to stress and anxiety. Stress can stimulate an itch from other causes. There are many treatments, for example, applying lotions, which often does not make the itch go away. Often the more you scratch, the more you itch.

Hypnosis can help to relieve itchy skin, this works by helping to change the behavioural habit pattern to scratch so that the skin becomes less itchy and more comfortable.

The mind and body is interconnected, so for example, that which you deeply imagine within your mind, can actually be felt throughout your body. Your mind can, of course, tell the difference between imagining something and when something is actually happening.

However, your body will react to what you deeply imagine as if it were actually happening in reality.

Likewise in hypnosis, you can access a deeply imaginative state where you can feel your skin being covered by soothing sensations of relief.

There are many reasons as to why someone might itch a lot, from stress to eczema. Usually the more you scratch, the more you itch. Should the itching habit become a compulsion, this can turn into a skin infection.

This should be part of a healthy regime for the skin. People should follow a healthy and balanced diet to encourage healthy skin.

When the area of skin is scratched, that same area may become even itchier, leading to more scratching. This is called the itch-scratch cycle.

Itching could be stress-related When the stress levels are reduced, the itching usually stops.
